INTRODUCTION TO THE E-PORTFOLIO.

This present E-Porfolio gathers and preserves the several Workshops, Tests, Workbook practices and the First Monthly Exam, with its Corrections; made by me, the student Samuel Ledezma, during this First Quarter in the English Class of Teacher Marta Rebolledo, in the 10th Grade B of the De La Salle School.

Part I. Read the questions about the readings "Grandmother Spider Brings the Sun", "Light." Answer the following questions in complete sentences. (10 points) 

1. What does this myth suggest about the importance of age and size?.
This myth suggest about the importance of age and size that no matter how old or tiny Grandmother Spider was, she was more intelligent and astute than the younger and bigger animals. 

2. Do you think Coyote's idea is better than Wolf's? Why or why not?
I don't think Coyote's idea is better, because it is not correct to steal other people's things. We can get in troubles and in the end, not having what we intended to have. 

3. How does light travel?
Light travels from the Sun to the Earth in waves. This waves are called "electromagnetic waves."


4. What are some transparent objects you use everyday?
Some transparent objects I use everyday are a glass, a window, a bottle and my lens.

5. What does virtual mean? What is a virtual image?
Virtual mean something that can be seen but doesn't exists. A virtual image is the reflection of an object in a mirror.

3. Dad donates his suits to charity whenever he has worn them a year.
4. The policemen delayed the drivers before the wrecks were cleared.

B. Combine the following senteces using adverb clauses at the beginning of the sentence. 

Answers:
1. Before Frank started medical training, he drove a forklift for a living. 
2. After the rains had started the mud stides, the homes were not safe to live in. 
3. While older people love to sit in the park, they feed the birds and visit. 
4. When I was much younger, I enjoyed camping out. 
5. After the man had stopped his car to help, Joe recognized the man. 

Part IV. Order of Adjectives. Complete the sentences, putting the adjectives that are in parentheses in the correct order to modify the noun that is shown in bold. 10 points.

3. Answer = The King graciously allowed Sir Reginald to keep the valuable gold carved chest as his reward.
